Our Story
Est. 2006 | Sitka, Alaska
Capt’n Tony’s Charters is a small, family run business started in 2006. We specialize in creating customized Alaska adventures for our guests by accommodating small groups of up to six people. Tailoring the experience to you can mean setting crab and shrimp pots while you are out fishing, going on a hike, or sightseeing after you return from an exciting day on the water. Let us know if there are things you’d like to do, and we will do our best to make it happen.
Our crew lives in Sitka, Alaska year-round, and we strive to go the extra mile to provide you with a quality trip full of memories both on and off the boat.
Because we are a small, family run business, we have a low overhead—that means we can pass those savings onto you, our customers. Rest assured you will receive a quality fishing experience and friendly service from our hard-working staff.
Captain Tony
Captain Tony (Tony) has grown up here in Sitka, Alaska and has over fifteen years of experience fishing these waters both as a commercial and charter fisherman.
He knows these waters and how to fish them. Tony will put you on top of the fish; whether it is king salmon, silver salmon, halibut, lingcod or rockfish you are after, Tony knows how to catch them.
Tony has obtained his US Coast Guard 100-Ton-Masters license. His boat, named “The Mosasaurus” is a 32-foot aluminum walk-around with a fully enclosed heated cabin and plenty of comfortable seating. With its wide beam and deep V hull, it provides a nice ride and stable fishing.
The Mosasaurus meets and exceeds all U.S. Coast Guard safety regulations. It is equipped with state-of-the-art electronics for navigation, communication, and locating fish to ensure a safe and exciting experience while experiencing these pristine Alaska waters.
"The Mosasaurus"
We are proud of the small, family business we operate thanks to the support from all of our dedicated family members.
Sitka is our home, and we enjoy showing off this little island to our guests. We're happy to answer any questions and let you see what living in Southeast Alaska is all about!
